On this occasion, I had the pleasure of tasting Chef Marcelo’s Homemade Empanadas.
Each one is meticulously hand-crafted, featuring Argentinean-style pastry filled with Beef and caramelized onions, accented with cumin and smoked paprika.
There’s also a unique Grilled Lemon Chicken, Spiced Chorizo and a Vegan / Vegetarian options.
Chef Marcelo’s catering menu showcases international inspirations, including his signature Spanish Paella, a flavorful rice dish enriched with chorizos, seafood, chicken, and saffron. Another standout is the New York Striploin, crusted with peppercorns and stuffed with porcini mushrooms, prosciutto, and provolone cheese, accompanied by potato roti and roasted yellow zucchini with poblano peppers in a red wine reduction. The striploin was a heavenly delight, perfectly seared with just the right amount of peppercorns, and the stuffing was a delightful surprise, bursting with flavor. Let’s just say my taste buds were thoroughly satisfied!
For dessert, Chef Marcelo presented a true masterpiece: a chocolate caramel cheesecake adorned with raspberry coulis and fresh strawberries, lightly dusted with icing sugar and garnished with fig and pomegranate. Cheesecake is a classic favorite, and this one certainly lived up to expectations. Its stunning presentation was the perfect prelude to a dessert that vanished quickly from the plate!
